Temporary Road Closure on Kirby Road between Jane Street and Weston Road

York Region is building and upgrading our water and wastewater infrastructure to provide safe, cost-efficient and reliable water and wastewater services to the Region’s residents, businesses and communities.

The Region is building two new water pumping stations, an elevated water tank and 3.2 kilometre watermain. Kirby Road between Jane Street and Weston Road will be temporarily closed to install the watermain.

Duration: Monday, September 8, 2025 at 7 a.m. to Friday, October 3, 2025 at 7 p.m.

Impacts

• Only local traffic is permitted, no through traffic permitted
• Access to all local homes and businesses will be maintained, there may be temporary delays
• There is no impact to water or wastewater services
• As with all road construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions. York Region will provide advance notice where possible
