Notice of Construction King Road East of Highway 27
Project update:
Beginning Monday, July 21, 2025, construction crews will be working on the culvert continually until Sunday, August 10, 2025. Transitioning to a 24-hour operation is needed to meet legislated requirements that apply when working in or diverting flowing water and will expediate the completion of the project.
York Region is rehabilitating a culvert on King Road, east of Highway 27. Culverts allow water and wildlife to pass freely under the road.
Duration: Summer 2025

Impacts to travellers
- Work will occur Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and when required, Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- The road will remain open to through traffic; however, temporary, short-term lane restrictions may be required to accommodate equipment and material delivery
Access to homes and businesses will be maintained.
As with all construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
