Notice of Construction - Warden Avenue, North of Doane Road

York Region is replacing a culvert on Warden Avenue, north of Doane Road. Culverts allow water and wildlife to pass freely under the road. A three-week road closure is required to complete the replacement.

Duration:  July 2025 to August 2025
 

Impacts to travellers:

• Work will occur Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Road Closure:

• Warden Avenue from Doane Road to Hornes Road will be closed at 7 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025 to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2025
• Traffic will not be permitted through the culvert location during the closure
• Access to homes and businesses will be maintained; however, those with properties to the south of the culvert can access Warden Avenue only from the south and those with properties to the north, only from the north
• Following the road closure, final work and restoration on Warden Avenue will occur

As with all construction projects, work and the road closure may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice where possible. Thank you for your patience during the construction period. We understand construction creates challenges for the community and we are working to deliver this project with minimal disruption.
