Do You Know a York Region Resident with a Hearing Disability or is an Accessibility Champion

We need your help to help us spread the word. Volunteers are needed for York Region's Accessibility Advisory Committee, which advises York Regional Council on how to make our programs, services and facilities more accessible to the community.

To ensure committee members represent a broad spectrum of disabilities and lived experience, at this time, we strongly encourage applications from individuals with hearing disabilities (the Deaf, the deafened, the hard of hearing) or those who have expertise in this area.

This volunteer opportunity is available to York Region residents who do not work at York Region, so please share this message with your external networks and community groups. Encourage residents and friends to apply if they are interested in accessibility issues, are a York Region resident with a disability or work with residents with disabilities in York Region.
