Highway 27 north of 18th Sideroad

Transportation improvements prepare York Region to meet the needs of motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and transit users today and into the future. York Region is is replacing a culvert on Highway 27, north of 18th Sideroad.

Duration: June 2024 to July 2024

Description:

• York Region is replacing a culvert
• Culverts allow water and wildlife to pass freely under the road
• A road closure is required to complete the replacement

Impacts to travellers:

• Work will occur Monday to Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Lane closures will be required to complete this work
• Road closure:
  • Highway 27 from 18th Sideroad to Lloydtown-Aurora Road will be closed from 7 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024 to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024
  • Traffic will not be able to travel through the work zone during the road closure
  • Local traffic is permitted; however, those with properties to the north of the culvert can only access Highway 27 from Lloydtown-Aurora Road and those to the south, only from 18th Sideroad
• Access to homes and businesses will be maintained

As with all construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
