Highway 27 north of 18th Sideroad
PROJECT UPDATE:
Paving will occur on Highway 27 north of 18th Sideroad from on Tuesday, August 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Transportation improvements prepare York Region to meet the needs of motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and transit users today and into the future. York Region is is replacing a culvert on Highway 27, north of 18th Sideroad.
Duration: June 2024 to July 2024

Description:
- York Region is replacing a culvert
- Culverts allow water and wildlife to pass freely under the road
- A road closure is required to complete the replacement
Impacts to travellers:
- Work will occur Monday to Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Lane closures will be required to complete this work
- Road closure:
- Highway 27 from 18th Sideroad to Lloydtown-Aurora Road will be closed from 7 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024 to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024
- Traffic will not be able to travel through the work zone during the road closure
- Local traffic is permitted; however, those with properties to the north of the culvert can only access Highway 27 from Lloydtown-Aurora Road and those to the south, only from 18th Sideroad
- Access to homes and businesses will be maintained
As with all construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
