Notice of Construction - Keele Street North of Highway 7

York Region is rehabilitating a large structural culvert on Keele Street, north of Highway 7. Culverts allow water and wildlife to pass freely under the road.

Duration: Early summer 2025 to early fall 2025

Impacts to travellers

  • Work will occur Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • The southbound right hand turn lane on Keele Street will be closed for the duration of construction, travellers may turn right onto Highway 7 from the through lane
  • The road will remain open to through traffic; however, lane restrictions are required:
    • Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    • The sidewalk on the west side of Keele Street will be closed from north of Highway 7 to Administration Road

Access to homes and businesses will be maintained.

As with all construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
