Intersection improvements coming to Leslie Street and Jim Mortson Drive
Transportation improvements prepare York Region to meet the needs of motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and transit users today and into the future. York Region is installing new traffic signals at the north intersection of Leslie Street and Jim Mortson Drive. The traffic signals will help manage traffic volume, reduce delays and support safe travel to the community centre.
Duration: May 2025 to August 2025

Impacts to travellers
The road will remain open to through traffic; however, lane restrictions are required:
- Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Access to homes and businesses will be maintained
As with all construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
