Water Service Interruption on Whisper Lane in Vaughan
October 16, 2025
York Region is replacing and upgrading valves and chambers in various location in the cities of Markham, Richmond Hill, Vaughan and the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville. To complete this work, water service will be temporarily shut off for the residents along Whisper Lane, in the City of Vaughan.
Duration: Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Impacts
- Before the water is turned off, please plan to have water available for your home to use. We recommend filling large containers with drinking water and using sinks or tubs to store water. When service is restored, run cold water taps for a few minute to clear any air bubbles
- The work is planned to be as brief as possible; however, if the water service shut off will be longer than the times noted, York Region staff will contact you; we will work to restore water service as soon as possible
- Due to the nature of work, there will be additional construction vehicles in the area
- Access to all residences and businesses will be maintained As with all construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other conditions. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
We understand construction is disruptive; thank you for your patience while we complete this vital work. If you have any questions or concerns, staff will be pleased to respond; contact us using any method noted below and quote York Air Value and Chamber Rehabilitation.
