Celebrating National Long Term Care Day

June 13, 2025 marks the second annual National Long-Term Care Day in Canada. This milestone day recognizes the vital role long-term care homes play in supporting thousands of older Canadians who rely on specialized care and services.

It’s a time to honour the dedication and compassion of staff who care for those living in long-term care. Their efforts make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents and their families. We also take this opportunity honour residents, acknowledge their families and celebrate our community together.

York Region operates two long-term care homes, Maple Health Centre and Newmarket Health Centre. Show your appreciation and share well-wishes with a staff member or resident in one of the long-term care homes by sending an e-card!
