Pass with care around transit buses
Let’s increase safety for drivers and riders of E-scooters
When approaching a transit bus:
- Avoid distractions
- Slow down
- Don’t follow too closely
- Be more aware
Drivers and riders of E-scooters are running into the back of buses or hitting their side mirrors.
It is safest to wait behind a bus instead of driving around it.
If you must pass, please give extra space:
- Be aware that bus mirrors extend beyond the bus making it wider than you may expect
- Anticipate the bus may move
- E-scooter riders need to watch for passengers exiting or entering the bus
