Intersection Improvements coming to 16th Avenue and Ninth Line

Transportation improvements prepare York Region to meet the needs of motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and transit users today and into the future.

York Region is extending a median on the east side of the 16th Avenue and Ninth Line intersection. This work will benefit travellers in the community by improving intersection safety.

Duration: May to June 2025

Impacts to travellers

The road will remain open to through traffic; however, lane restrictions are required:

• Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Access to homes and businesses will be maintained

As with all construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
