Let’s Talk About Measles with York Region’s Medical Officer of Health

On September 4, 2025, York Region Public Health declared a measles outbreak in the City of Vaughan (Thornhill).
Currently, there are four cases associated with this outbreak and York Region continues to investigate. At this time, the outbreak is contained to the Thornhill area and unrelated to the current outbreak in Southwestern Ontario.
If you attended the Becker’s Convenience Store at 7241 Bathurst Street on September 2, 2025, from 2:45 p.m. to 5:15 pm., you may have been exposed to measles and should watch for symptoms until Tuesday, September 23, 2025, 21 days after exposure.
