For 20 years York Region, in partnership with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) and Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (LSRCA), has been helping landowners with two or more acres in York Region transform their properties through our Grow Your Legacy large-scale tree-planting program. Since 2004, more than 763,000 trees have been planted across over 1,000 acres (the equivalent of 900 football fields). These trees help clean the air we breathe and protect our communities from floods.
