Thanksgiving greetings from York Region

On behalf of York Regional Council and The Regional Municipality of York, I extend warm wishes to all residents for a happy, healthy and safe Thanksgiving weekend.  

Thanksgiving is a wonderful reminder of the importance of community, togetherness and the resilience we have shown throughout the year in overcoming challenges, fostering growth and building an even brighter future for our communities.

At the heart of York Region are the people who call it home – residents, businesses and community organizations that work tirelessly to make this a welcoming, vibrant and compassionate place to live, work and visit. Whether through volunteering, supporting local initiatives or simply lending a helping hand to a neighbour, our shared values of generosity and care for one another shine through, particularly at this time of year.

As we gather with family and friends, let us also remember those in our community who may be facing difficult times. This is a moment to support one another, to recognize that our strength comes from unity and to extend our gratitude by giving back, however we can.
