York Region Paramedic Services Celebrates New Recruits

On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, York Region Paramedic Services proudly celebrated the graduation of 62 dedicated members of the 2025 class and recognized two team members promoted to permanent leadership roles. This milestone event highlighted the exceptional skill, commitment and resilience required to deliver high quality patient care across York Region.

Becoming a paramedic is a significant achievement. It demands focus, discipline and the ability to stay calm under pressure in both physically and emotionally challenging situations. York Region’s paramedics complete a rigorous recruitment process, and those who succeed bring diverse backgrounds, valuable experience and a shared passion for serving the community.

York Region Paramedic Services operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, providing emergency response and community care to more than 1.3 million residents.
