York Region Celebrates Seniors Month: Supporting Healthy Aging and Connection in Our Communities
York Region is proud to join communities across Ontario in celebrating Seniors Month this June, recognizing the important contributions that seniors make to families, workplaces and neighbourhoods. Seniors Month also raises awareness of the programs, services and supports available to help older adults stay healthy, independent and connected.
This year’s theme, “Ontario Seniors — Let’s Get Moving,” highlights the importance of staying active, engaged and socially connected to support overall health and well-being.
Seniors are one of the fastest growing and most diverse populations in York Region. Through collaboration with Regional departments and community partners, York Region is committed to supporting seniors in aging safely, independently and with dignity, while ensuring they can easily access the information and services they need.
