Thank you for supporting young entrepreneurs at the Summer Company Showcase!
York Region successfully hosted the 2025 Summer Company Showcase. Local high school and post-secondary students showcased their recently launched businesses at 17150 Yonge Street and Upper Canada Mall.
From custom timepieces and eco-friendly hair products to car detailing, tutoring and photography, the showcase featured a diverse lineup of businesses. Visitors had the chance to meet the young minds behind each innovative business, learn about their journeys and support local products and services.
In partnership with the Government of Ontario, the York Small Business Enterprise Centre administers the Summer Company program annually, dedicated to students ages 15 to 29 with innovative business ideas and an entrepreneurial spirit. The program provides business mentorship and resources and grant opportunities.
Student-run businesses featured at the 2025 Summer Company Showcase included:

- Nicholas Fryer – Boats & Autos
- Samreen Khurram – Nova Events Photography
- Sarah Crone – Diamond Cleaning Services
- Steve Wong – PUREFLOW
Students also gained valuable real-world experience, growing their confidence as young entrepreneurs. Through conversations with customers and managing their own booths, these young entrepreneurs put their learning into action, sharpening their business skills and laying the foundation for future success.
