Celebrate Local Food Week with the 2025 York Farm Fresh Guide
Get ready to savour the season! June 2 to 8, 2025 is Local Food Week, a time to recognize the hardworking farmers, food processors, retailers and restaurants who bring fresh, local food to our tables and nourish our communities.
This annual celebration, held during the first week of June, is the perfect opportunity to support local by shopping at grocery stores, farmers’ markets, on-farm markets and even when ordering online or dining out.
Discover local with the York Farm Fresh Guide
The newly updated York Farm Fresh Guide is your passport to the best of local food. Featuring over 30 farms and six farmers’ markets, the guide helps you explore the rich agricultural offerings across York Region, from fresh produce and artisanal goods to unique farm experiences.
Check out the guide online, or grab a printed copy at one of the locations listed. From June 2 to 6, you can also pick up a copy at the following York Region buildings Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.:

As part of the York Farm Fresh experience, the Passport to Fresh contest has returned! Visit as many farms on the guide map as possible and collect virtual stamps by capturing photos at the farms.
