New Graduate Development Program
York Region’s New Graduate Development Program is designed to empower recent graduates with meaningful career opportunities, mentorship and professional development. Rooted in community values and driven by innovation, these programs can help launch your career while contributing to the future of York Region.
The successful candidate will have completed a master’s, honours, or undergraduate degree in a related field and must have graduated within the past two years (or will be graduating before the anticipated start date).

Digital, Data, and Customer Experience
- Role: Data or Digital Associate – New Graduate
- Start Dates: May or September
- Program Length: Up to 24 months
This role supports York Region’s digital and data initiatives. Under the guidance of experienced practitioners, participants gain hands-on experience in analytics, digital transformation, and customer experience. It fosters the development of technical, analytical, and strategic skills while contributing to the Region’s digital goals.
Features: Several project-based opportunities across various areas offering well-rounded training and exposure to diverse teams and projects.
Community and Health Services
- Role: Program and Policy Associate Analyst – New Graduate
- Start Dates: May or September
- Program Length: up to 24 months
This role supports the Social Services branch through research, analysis and policy development. Participants work alongside experienced policy professionals to gain insight into operational policy, program design and process evaluation.
Features: Several rotations across various areas, providing a comprehensive understanding of community services and interdepartmental collaboration.
