Notice of Master Plan Amendment - Completion and comment period

The Regional Municipality of York amended the 2022 Water and Wastewater Master Plan to align with the Ontario government’s Supporting Growth and Housing in York and Durham Regions Act, 2022. 

The updates include 22 new wastewater projects within the York Durham Sewage System and support for Minister’s Zoning Orders in the City of Markham and the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, requiring additional Regional infrastructure. 

The Master Plan guides water and wastewater growth to 2051.
