Notice of Construction - York Air Valves and Chambers Rehabilitation

Part of our rehabilitation program, York Region is replacing and upgrading valves and chambers in various location in the cities of Markham, Richmond Hill, Vaughan and the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.

Duration: June to December, 2026

• Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; overnight and weekend work may happen as needed

Impacts

• Roads will remain open to through traffic; however, short, intermittent lane restrictions may be required
• Due to the nature of work, there will be additional construction vehicles in the area
• No planned impacts to water or wastewater services
• Access to all residences and businesses will be maintained

As with all construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other conditions. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
