Nobleton Water Treatment Plant Project Begins July 2026
York Region is enhancing the water infrastructure and building a new, larger Nobleton Water Treatment Plant to continue to provide reliable and high-quality water services to the Nobleton community, in the Township of King.
Work includes building the new water treatment plant and incorporating iron and manganese removal filtration, at the location of the current Nobleton Wells 5 & 6 facility at 12860 Highway 27, Nobleton.
Duration: July 2026 to December 2028
Work will occur Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Impacts
- No planned impacts to water services, access to all homes and businesses will be maintained
- Construction will be limited to the work site, however there may be increased constructionrelated traffic in and out of the site
- There will be some construction-related noise and dust, though every effort to control and minimize this will be made
- As with all construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other conditions. York Region will provide advance notice where possible
