Construction Update - Highway 27, south of Milani Boulevard
York Region is building a new 11-kilometre sewer pipe in the City of Vaughan to provide sustainable wastewater servicing and accommodate future growth.

Description
- The sewer pipe will be installed by a tunnelling process, requiring the construction of a compound on Highway 27, south of Milani Boulevard
- The compound is enclosed to minimize disruptions, noise and dust; most work will occur underground
Project Duration
Fall 2024 to fall 2029
- Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; overnight and weekend work will happen as needed
Impacts
- There are no planned impacts to water or wastewater services
- Temporary sidewalks and detours have been installed around construction sites for your safety. Please follow the signs and don’t walk on the road
- Due to the nature of work, there will be additional construction vehicles in the area; there will be periodic delays due to the movement of construction vehicles
As with all construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other conditions. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
