Information for Housing Providers
York region is responsible for the administration of community housing across all nine municipalities in the Region.
Community housing providers are responsible for the day-to-day operation of their buildings and administrative duties such as subsidy calculations delegated to them by the Region. Housing Providers must comply with the requirements set out in the Housing Services Act, 2011 or their operating or contribution agreements, as well as local rules set by York Region.
Program Instructions
Program Instructions help housing providers understand their responsibilities and correct procedures for administering rent-geared-to-income (RGI) and other rent subsidy programs. Housing providers must follow the rules and procedures that apply to their program.
