Celebrating the compassion and care of York Region paramedics

On behalf of York Regional Council and The Regional Municipality of York, I am proud to recognize May 18 to 24, 2025, as Paramedic Services Week.
 

This year’s theme, We Care. For Everyone, highlights the unwavering commitment of our paramedics to provide compassionate, high-quality care to all members of our community. Whether responding to emergencies, supporting public health initiatives or engaging in community outreach, York Region’s paramedics exemplify dedication and professionalism in every aspect of their work.
 

York Region Paramedic Services is essential to the health and safety of our residents. Our paramedics respond to calls for help with urgency and expertise, often under challenging circumstances, ensuring those in need receive timely and effective medical attention. Their role extends beyond emergency response; they are integral to our health care system, contributing to preventive care and health education.
 

York Region is committed to supporting our paramedic services through continuous investment in training, equipment and infrastructure. We recognize the importance of providing our paramedics with the resources they need to perform their duties safely and effectively.
 

As we observe Paramedic Services Week, I encourage all residents to take a moment to acknowledge and thank our paramedics for their invaluable contributions. Their dedication saves lives and strengthens the fabric of our community.
